The sun startled me. I was finally awake before her. We were exhaling in sync. I felt lame observing everything through microanalysis. I reached for my phone out of habit. I forgot I had left it on the kitchen table. The TV was still on. The screen read: Are You Still Watching Parks and Recreation. Such a great show. I waited helplessly for her to wake. She did. She just looked at me and then slowly smiled, kissed me, than got up. I watched her disappear into the bedroom. I lay on the couch for while till I sat up. She came out of the room looking changed. she had to leave tomorrow. She was going back home.
